It doesn't emulsify, just makes my skin red

Posted by iHerb Customer on Feb 12, 2018 | Verified Purchase

This formula does nothing to help clean your skin. It doesn't emulsify or anything. I have no idea if it removes my sunscreen. Makes my skin red and angry. If you don't double cleans, you will have to start doing it because this leaves thick layer on your skin.

Too thick

Posted by iHerb Customer on Dec 28, 2017 | Verified Purchase

I was really excited to get this product and I was expecting something like Evelom quality but natural and vegan. But result was quite disappointing . Very thick to spread and massage. Also difficult to remove. I won’t purchase again.

Gentle & effective

A wonderful cleanser that gets rids of all makeup without irritation or drying. I am only docking one star for the fragrance in this product and wish that Pixi would reformulate it without perfume. Some may like the rosy scent, but I don’t, so be aware if your skin or nose is sensitive. Otherwise this is an excellent product for the cold and dry season!

Hard To Remove - You'll Need To Triple Cleanse

Posted by iHerb Customer on Oct 08, 2017 | Verified Purchase

This 'cleansing' balm may displace makeup but I find it almost impossible to get off my face. It has very good ingredients, a bunch of good lipids which will bind with makeup and thus has potential. However, unlike other cleansing balms I've used, it seems to have no emulsifiers so doesn't dissolve into a milk. Adding water just makes it feel like you're trying to wash off grease it slips and slides the stuff around your face but little comes off. You can use a tissue or cotton pads to wipe it off superficially but it is too heavy to be lifted easily off delicate spots, like around your eyes. Essentially only really intense washing with foaming cleanser or two + warm water will make you feel clean. And even some of my gentler cleansers did nothing. No wonder they had to pair it with another cleanser in the dual-cleanse version. So I'm now using this as a heel balm(it has good ingredients so I'm not wasting it). Not sure why this works for other people. I have very normal-slightly dehydrated +40 skin. I'm going back to BanilaCo Reservatrol - which is the best I've tried so far.
